Dappy - Hip Hip Hooray The music video of “Hip Hip Hooray” is not a narrative or performance based video. Overall the message of this video is about the guy who is known as “Dappy” who is in love with the business man’s girlfriend. It is shown by multiple factors such as the actions of him as well as the environment surrounding him. Essentially, it’s a video of Dappy enjoying himself due to his wealth in Dubai. Theme and motifs There are multiple themes that are presented through Dappy’s music video, they are introduced through objects and other items which we can see throughout the video, and the ones which stood to me clearly were the following; Wealth - this was shown with the Rolls Royce as soon as the video started, moreover midway more cars were shown such as the Lamborghini. Practice Music Video Reflection What have you enjoyed? I have enjoyed the filming aspect of the task like shooting the footages in different angles and in different locations using different amount of lighting by changing the camera settings. However the editing task was most fun as there were many thing that we could do with the software such as add effects and make the video more attractive. The programme (software) we used was Adobe Premiere Pro as we were told this software would be the most easiest thing to use to edit out video.    What have you learnt? during this task i have learnt many things such as how to keep the camera steady with no movement which may make the video/footage look unusual and how to fix the white balance so the colours are clear and easily noticeable. CASE STUDY - ARIANA GRANDE PROBLEM

Ariana Grande – Problem Synopsis - The video is about getting rid of someone from the past shows female empowerment. This video is a performance based as there are many background dancers dancing. Theme – the theme is an old fashioned retro styled – shown by Iggy by her hair and makeup moreover the black and white typed theme from the background. Another theme that was shown by the dancers was a street dance typed dancing. Ariana is shown as a “young”, cute, sexualised girl Whereas Iggy is shown as more classy and mature. Camera angles – close ups of Ariana Grande spinning around flaunting her body. Moreover close up of the guy singing Big close up – Ariana with the guy whispering in her ear. Special effects – coloured outlines of both Ariana and Iggy’s body - Green screen   Target audience - young adults – teens (Girls).
